Adcapone Tablet is used alongside other treatments to help manage the symptoms by improving the levels and effects of dopamine in the brain. This leads to more consistent control of movement, reducing "off" episodes when symptoms worsen, and enhancing the overall quality of life for individuals with Parkinson’s disease.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

• Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping)

• Dizziness
• Diarrhea
• Muscle coordination impaired
• Abdominal pain
• Dryness in mouth
• Yellow discoloration of urine

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Adcapone Tablet may be taken with or without food.

Adcapone Tablet is a selective reversible inhibitor that is given in combination with levodopa. It works by inhibiting a chemical messenger [catechol-O-methyl transferase (COMT)] which in turn helps in increasing the amount of dopamine (chemical messenger) in the brain. Thus, an adequate amount of dopamine in the brain helps to coordinate body movements.
