Flagyl ER Tablet is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections, particularly those caused by anaerobic bacteria that thrive in areas with little or no oxygen. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria and killing the organisms that cause infection. This helps relieve symptoms such as pain, fever, and inflammation, allowing the body to heal faster and reducing the risk of complications.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Flagyl ER Tablet should be taken with or after food.

Flagyl ER Tablet contains metronidazole, an antibiotic and antiprotozoal medicine that works by entering the bacterial or parasitic cells and damaging their DNA. This prevents the microorganisms from growing and reproducing, ultimately leading to their death and clearing the infection.
